Students clean, cut, and shape a gourd of their choice into a vase, bowl, or container. Once the gourd is prepared for decoration students can use paints, ink dyes, beads, woven edges or simple focal points. This is a good class for practicing basic skills in finishing the surface of the gourd in ways that students find most attractive.
